Seesmic

Seesmic, a customer multi-platform social network that connects to Twitter and Facebook, has launched a new version 0.6, which adds the ability to read, drive, and comment on pages like Facebook. It's good that follows Seesmic to add more features, but memory is a bit of a bloated pig, and I hope it eases a bit before it reaches version 1.0. He swallowed around 200 MB of RAM on my MacBook, and Lee reported a similar number in your Windows machine. At the top of the pages, there is also a new favorite column, and an answer to all options for Twitter.

Generally, defragmentation has been the most effective and long time solution for computer slowdown. It dose not require any technological knowledge. What you have to do is to get an efficient and reliable defragmenter and spare some time to get it done. There is some good defragmentation software available on the internet. You can download one and try it for free.

The Facebook pages are an example of the tendency of Seesmic to try to be all things to all people. Seesmic has the disadvantage of running in Adobe AIR, that although the application does cross platform and usable by all, is known for its poor performance.

Aardvark

Aardvark, a service that uses social networks to find answers to your questions, now has an application for the iPhone. Aardvark begins with Facebook Connect, find friends who use, then branches into friends and friends of all network users Aardvark. You may ask questions and receive answers via IM or the web. The iPhone version is extra useful because the questions do not always come when you should happen to be in front of a computer.

One thing you have to bear in mind is that defragmentation is a routine work, so you have to pay attention to your computer's health condition and maintain and clean the hard drive when is needed. Only by defragmenting can return your computer to its optimal efficiency.

You can use the iPhone Aardvark both ask and answer questions, and select the categories that help to link with the right people. Aardvark said that most questions are answered within 5 minutes after asking 6 people and get 2 answers. I tested it by asking for a recommendation on the banks in Seattle, and received a good response after about 15 minutes. GigaOM had better luck asking for taxis in San Francisco, get a response in less than 5.

Tiny Pictures

Tiny Pictures operates radar, photo sharing, mobile applications, which has never much traction beyond the base following. The service is actually quite slippery, centered around a current picture comment. Take pictures with his mobile phone to instantly share with friends who were also in demand. You can then comment on the photos.

Therefore, you need to defragment your hard drive to keep your computer in health. You could run the defragmenting program to see if your computer needs defragmentation.

It sounds simple, but demand has reached a critical mass of users. The service focuses more on sharing moments of life through photos with people who really know that creating a current of public photos. So if you know someone who uses it, there is little reason to join. The friends-and-attendance of the family must have appealed to Shutterfly, however, is based precisely on the type of image exchange. It has a rich database of people who enjoy sharing photos with others. Radar can extend to mobile phones in a social and fun.

BloggersBase

BloggersBase expected to monetize their platform, offering a premium user generated content discovery and delivery platform for media companies to help select and organize content citizen journalist. For example, The Jerusalem Post is using the technology to a contest BloggerBase UGC.

In theory, the idea of BloggersBase, especially when it comes to their white-label offering is attractive. There is certainly a need for a mechanism by which to sift through the millions of blogs in the blogosphere.

But the biggest challenge for BloggersBase is the ability to attract sustained attention from blogs and readers. Without compelling content, the site does not attract engaged readers. Naturally, with the popularity of media companies incorporating UGC into their new platforms, such as CNN's iReport, BloggersBase may provide media companies with another way to sort the contents.

Five tips to help you speed up disk defragment

Are you boring that the slower the more you use computers? Are you boring the Windows Disk Defragmenter is cumbersome and inefficient? These five tips that can help us to accelerate the speed of disk defragment.

Close the application

As a result of the operation of certain programs may need to repeatedly read the data in the hard disk, normally it will affect the defragmenter work. If the system is instability, it will even lead to the blue screen of death. Therefore, in order to speed up the speed of disk defragment, the best way is to close all running programs.

Modify the registry to automatically shut down the screen saver

Before disk defragmenter work, we must first turn off screen saver, or disk defragmenter will start again, but if every time manually close the application, may be more trouble. Here tell everyone a small trick, that is, by modifying the registry to automatically close the screen saver. Specific steps are as follows:

First, use the “regedit” command to open the registry, navigate to “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft \Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets”, then find whether there is the “Defrag” key under this path, if there is no then create a new key. In the “Defrag” and then create a new key called “Settings” the main key, and then in this new one of a primary key named “DisableScreenSaver” primary key, and finally change the default string value to “YES”. After each run the disk defragmenter, the screen saver will be automatically closed, run automatically after finishing of the defragmentation.

To change the temporary folder location

IE will generate a large number of temporary files in the directory of Temporary Internet Files, hard drives will also read and write frequently, resulting in a large number of fragments, thus slow down the speed of access. In order to avoid this, we can assign the same temporary directory to other partition.

Methods are: First, create a new directory in the other partition to storage the temporary files. Second, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Internet Options. In the opened dialog box, click the “Settings” button, and then click “Move folder” button, select the directory created before.

Retain sufficient disk space

We will find when using computer, if the remaining space of hard disk is too small, the speed of running an application will be very slow, disk defragmenter is also difficult. Therefore, for the small disk partition, it is best to keep more than 15% of available space; for the large disk partition, it is best to keep more than 5% of the available space; for the boot partition, at least more than 200MB space.

In addition, when using computer, we should release the waste of disk space, such as frequent emptying the recycle bin, delete internet history, as well as delete the files of temporary folder.

Adjust the parameters or the use of professional software

If the size of hard disk partition or volume is very small, it will defragment a long time, but for a number of full data for large hard drives and partitions, you need to wait a long time. Therefore, for the large hard disk or partition, you can take the following two methods:

First of all, turn off the optimization parameters of the system disk defragmenter, so that defragmenter can accelerate the speed, but this approach effect may not be very obvious.

Another approach is to use a professional tool to defragment the hard disk or partition, for example, Smashing Defrag can defragment disk with a very high speed. If we use Smashing Defrag every day, the disk will be optimized in a little minutes, the system will be able to maintain the best condition. The suggestion is that you can use the windows task schedule to keep the defragmenter run automatically at least once a week.

Buying Glasses Online-What You Need to Know

Shopping online! Ha, that’s a good idea.

Whether shopping for new clothes or new vehicles, you can find everything you could ever imagine on the internet. Outside of its abundance of information, it's opened up a global market for all of us in just a few clicks. There are huge benefits to shopping for your optical glasses online as well.

For years the more Internet-savvy have been buying cheap prescription glasses frames online, but then had to go to their local eye glasses store to have their prescription lenses put in. And anyone who wears glasses knows that the lenses often cost more than the frames.

The biggest step forward in this new shopping trend in recent months and years is the ability now to be able to buy prescription glasses online, including the lenses, and to save on the entire package.

Purchasing and fitting prescription glasses always seemed like a complex procedure best left to professionals. The truth is, if you know your prescription and have your existing rx glasses handy, it is really quite simple to purchase glasses online.

Some online retailers are publicly criticising local street shops for huge mark ups and that is how they attract customers to their online stores. I completely disagree with such approach, there are always some pros and cons in every option you choose. It is also important to understand that a street shop will never be able to compete on price with an online store. The reasons are simple: First, the high overheads (rent, staff, other bills & expenses); Second, a local shop can only sell to the local market.

The advantage of buying at a real store though is their personalization of the service - Direct interaction between the shop assistant and the customer; Ability to try a new frame on before you buy it; And the convenience of getting your prescription and the glasses on the same spot.

When you shop for your glasses online however, you should have obtained your prescription in advance from your local optometrist. Remember that your eyeglasses prescription is only valid for two years, after this period you should check your vision again and obtain new prescription. The main concern people have when they buy their glasses online is the size of the frame and how it will fit/suit their face. There are some solutions to this issue already, like virtual try on system where you can upload your photo on to the website and then drag the image of a selected frame over it to see how it will look on your face. The simplest method is to know your current frame measurement (usually written on the frame) so you can order your new frame with the same dimensions.

Ok, we hope that it was a good offer to you. And, any question you can ask the online prescription eyeglasses expert.

Recommend a spectacles website

I had an accident yesterday, glasses for many years was broken. I felt so sad.

A day with no glasses was inconvenient. I had to use a very old pair of glasses to replace my broken glass.

The weather outside was too hot . I dind't want to run out.

I was depressed.

Today Ann ,my good friends, came to my house, invited me to go to a party tonight. I complained to her about my misfortune. And told her I couldn't attend. Because I haven't a suitable glasses.

She said, It doesn't matter, I will recommend you a website, which could get a pair of glass online.

Because I don't want to go to an optical shop in the hot weather, I deceied to have a try.

I think this site is really wonderful. It not only contains all kinds of styles, but aslo have variety color. The most important, the price is lower than the shop.

Another point I feel very good that it tell you the difference between each type, it is equivalent to the attendants at the store to introduce to you.
After a long time search, price comparison, the pattern of comparison. I choose this type:

I think this type go up with my skin color.

And the price I could afford. Ann also agreed with my choice. I ordered the glasses right now. After about 3 hours, they sent people to send the glass . The poster's attitude toward me is so good, and he told me some information about after-sales service and so on. I think this a very enjoyable online shopping.

Wish you have a happy shopping as well as me.

Silicone Wristbands: Accessories to Memorize MJ

The legendary King of Pop, Michael Jackson, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2009, at 2:26 pm local time. It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. Once this astonishing news was released, thousand millions of MJ fans all around the world spontaneously get together to mourn this great artist in their own ways. Michael’s death is like the end of an era. No one has ever had such a significant influence in the music world since the Hillbilly Cat and the Beatles.

He was a super star, and his music has influenced numerous people from all over the world. Besides the music, he also donated and raised millions of dollars for beneficial causes through his foundations, charity singles, and support of 39 charities. No matter how the public commented on his personal life, he was doubtlessly one of the most kind-hearted people in the world, because he cared about people who suffered from poverty and diseases.

We feel extremely sad and sorry about Michael’s death, and there is nothing we can do about his death. However, there is indeed something we can do for his children left behind and people who received his donations. Before Michael died, he had been preparing for his concert in London which was scheduled to be on air on July 9th. Although he could not make it any more, yet almost none of his fans indicated to return their concert tickets. People would still love to attend this concert in the hope of recalling his music and grieving over the great loss of him. One of his African fans said, “She would not return the ticket, because she wanted to give the money to Michael’s children.”

If you love Michael Jackson, you would not miss a chance to make his music continue. A simple silicone wristband “MJ will live forever through his music” would be no more than just perfect for the fans to memorize him. Simplicity, elegance and cheapness would be the best for people to cherish the memory of the passed.

Simply look for information on the Internet and find out what particular shape you would like to be associated with Michael. Then write down what you would like to say to him and engrave it in the wristband for your eternal memorial. Furthermore, what this silicone wristband more significantly explains is that Michael’s music would live forever as well as his devotion to the charity.
